TPO, EPDM, or metal may be the better call when:

  • The building has a steep-slope roof where SPF application isn't practical.
  • You need the absolute lowest up-front material cost and aren't weighing long-term maintenance economics.

None of this means TPO, EPDM, or metal roofs can't perform well in Pittsburgh — plenty do, when installed and maintained correctly.
